A First Website for a 27-Year-Old Brisbane Builder Business

The Challenge

AP & Sons has been building across South East Queensland since 1997. With a team of 15, they deliver renovations, extensions, kitchens, bathrooms, decks, patios and property maintenance for homeowners from Brisbane to the Gold Coast.

For 27 years the work spoke for itself. Referrals and repeat clients kept the team busy, so the business never had a website. When they decided to launch tiny homes, they needed a way to reach people who had never heard of them.

The goals:

  • Launch the first AP & Sons website and bring the business online
  • Show 27 years of quality in a way a new customer could trust in seconds
  • Give the new tiny homes offer a place to launch and prove itself
  • Build a site that turns visitors into quote requests

The Strategy

Construction is a trust purchase. Homeowners are handing over their home and their budget, so the website had to prove quality before the first phone call. Every decision came back to that.

  • One website, two audiences. We built the site to carry the core construction and renovation services while giving tiny homes a proper home. This let the business test demand using the trust already attached to the AP & Sons name. Faster to market, lower cost, less risk.
  • Real work, real people. Original photography and videography of the crew, their tools and finished projects. Seeing the team and the craftsmanship is what turns a stranger into a client.
  • A page for every service. Kitchens, bathrooms, decks, patios, painting and tiny homes each got a dedicated page built around what homeowners search for in Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Ipswich.
  • Credentials up front. QBCC, Master Builders and trade licences sit on every page, so trust is established from the first scroll.
  • Built on WordPress. A WordPress website gives AP & Sons a fast, flexible platform that is easy to update and grows with the business.

What Salt Did

  • Website design: custom design built around the AP & Sons brand and the way homeowners choose a builder
  • WordPress development: full build with service pages, a project portfolio and quote forms on every page
  • Photography and videography: on-site shoots of the team, completed projects and tiny home builds
  • Conversion tracking: Google Tag Manager and GA4 set up to track every form and call
  • Google Business Profile: built and optimised from scratch so the business shows up in local search

The Result

The new WordPress website became AP & Sons’ number one sales tool. It put everything the business does online, won them a steady stream of new work and earned consistent praise from their clients.

It also became the launchpad for something bigger. Tiny homes took off inside the AP & Sons website, and demand grew strong enough to become its own business: Park Tiny Homes. We have since built Park Tiny Homes its own dedicated website, and it’s now the division the business pushes every day. AP & Sons continues as the construction and renovation arm.

  • First website live after 27 years in business
  • Every service, project and credential now online
  • A new division launched, validated and spun out into its own brand

If your business has been running on referrals and you’re ready to be found online, let’s talk.

What does Salt Agency actually do?

Salt is a performance and creative marketing agency in Brisbane. Salt builds the strategy, produces the creative, runs the media and reports on what it earned. One team owns the concept and the result.

What marketing services does Salt offer?

Websites, SEO, Google Ads, Meta Ads, organic social, photography and video, branding and design, and fractional CMO. CRM setup, tracking and landing pages are delivered inside wider engagements.

What size businesses does Salt work with?

Established businesses, typically mid-market to enterprise, with a committed marketing budget and a growth target attached. Salt keeps a short client list so every engagement gets senior attention.

Am I locked into a long contract?

Retainers run month to month. Website builds are project based with a fixed scope and a fixed price.

Who will I be working with day to day?

One account manager as the single point of contact, with the specialists delivering the work reachable directly. Decisions are made in hours.

How much does marketing with Salt cost?

Retainers start at $2,480+GST per month and website builds range heavily. Final investment depends on scope, channels and pace. Every proposal carries a fixed price with deliverables itemised.

Is Salt a performance agency or a creative agency?

Both, and the two are inseparable at Salt. Creative that cannot be measured and media with nothing worth running are equally ineffective. The same team owns both.

Does Salt only work with Brisbane businesses?

Salt is based in Albion, Brisbane, and works with clients across Australia. Discovery and strategy run in person for Brisbane clients and remotely elsewhere.

How long until I see results?

Paid search and paid social typically produce measurable results inside the first month. SEO compounds over six to twelve months. Every engagement reports on the first Tuesday of the month.

What happens after the first call?

Salt audits the accounts, website and competitors before a proposal is written. The findings are handed over either way. A proposal follows with fixed pricing and scope itemised.
